Most points are not lost to bad redemptions. They are lost to expiry, to a devaluation announced with 30 days notice, and to annual credits nobody remembered to spend. Points & Prompts tracks the balances most exposed to each.
Card credits, transfer bonuses and elite benefits only count if you actually use them, and a fee-carrying card only pays for itself if the benefits clear the fee. Program rules change often and each program publishes its own; Points & Prompts re-verifies against those sources rather than restating them from memory (verified July 31, 2026).
